The Miner Alumni Association provides about
$500,000 each year in scholarship support
to more than 400 Missouri S&T students. Students especially appreciate the association’s general scholarships that stay with them – even if they change majors.

Your Gifts
Your gift of $100 can:
Pay for 10 students to attend a five-course etiquette dinner. Resume writing workshops, mock interviews and etiquette dinners help prepare students to land their dream jobs.
The difference: Ninety-three percent of graduating seniors secure theirnext step within three months of graduation (i.e., full-time work,graduate school or military enlistment).
Your gift of $250 can:
Help Missouri S&T continue to recruit the best and the brightest by giving to scholarships offered to these excellent students. The caliber of students interested in attending Missouri S&T also are attractive candidates to other universities.
The difference: A $250 gift can be the first step toward a student’s path to success. The Miner Alumni Association combines thousands of gifts each year to provide nearly $500,000 in scholarship support and financial aid.
Your gift of $450 can:
Help pay for a student’s books and supplies for one semester.
The difference: Students who study hard at Missouri S&T see real results. This fall, 600 representatives from more than 184 companies in 30 states recruited Missouri S&T students and graduates for internships, co-ops and full-time employment.
Your gift of $1,000 can:
Help students involved in Engineers Without Borders travel to developing nations to improve living conditions one village at a time.
The difference: Your $1,000 investment covers the costs for one student, providing the lesson of a lifetime that changes a student’s perspective forever.
Your gift of $1,750 can:
Jump start a high school graduate in chemistry, mathematics and English at Missouri S&T, and provides a three-hour course credit. Students get the scoop on coursework expectations, campus life and strategies for academic success through the three-week program, Hit the Ground Running.
The difference: Freshmen who participate in Hit the Ground Running have a grade point average of 3.2 their first semester compared to non-participants who post a 2.7 GPA.
Your gift of $2,300 can:
Help bridge the gap between the maximum amount of federal funding available to an undergraduate student ($5,800) and the annual in-state tuition for an undergraduate student at Missouri S&T ($8,100).
The difference: Eighty-eight percent of Missouri S&T students receive some form of financial assistance. Nearly 40 percent come from homes where the household income is less than $40,000. Amazingly, graduates have the potential to earn an average starting salary of $53,000. The return on your investment … phenomenal.
